We would like to invite you to participate in 821 Day, a day for restaurants in Mesquite, Texas to donate a portion of their proceeds to the Mesquite Police Association Charities to aid in funding signage for the Officer Richard Houston II Memorial Highway which was recently passed into law via Texas House Bill 975.

Officer Houston was a Mesquite police officer who was killed in the line of duty on December 3rd, 2021. He was a beloved member of the Mesquite Police Department and his death was a tragic loss. The Officer Richard Houston II Memorial Highway will be a fitting tribute to his memory.

We are asking restaurants in Mesquite to donate a portion of their proceeds on August 21, 2023 to the Mesquite Police Association Charities. We believe that this is a small way that we can all come together to honor Officer Houston’s memory and support his family.
