Answering The Call For One Of Our Own Help a Mesquite Police Family Rebuild After a Lightning Strike This morning’s severe storms had a devastating impact on one of our Mesquite Police families. After more than 20 years of dedicated service to the City of Mesquite, one of our officers had his home struck by lightning, causing significant damage and creating unexpected hardships for his family. This family has dedicated their lives to serving our community. In addition to the officer’s more than 20 years of service with the Mesquite Police Department, his wife has also faithfully served the citizens of Mesquite as a police dispatcher for over 20 years. The Mesquite Police Association Charities is asking our community, friends, family, and supporters to come together and help one of our own during this difficult time. For more than two decades, this family has answered the call to serve our community. Today, we are asking our community to answer the call for them. 100% of donations received through the Mesquite Police Association Charities for this effort will be provided directly to the officer and his family to assist with immediate needs and recovery expenses.
