The Mesquite Police Department (MPD), Mesquite Police Association (MPA), and Mesquite Police Association Charities (MPA Charities) have teamed up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to provide a safe ride program for individuals in the City of Mesquite in an attempt to prevent intoxicated individuals from getting behind the wheel.
How It Works
We are partnering with local restaurants to post flyers and handout custom coasters with QR codes linking to our free ride program via Lyft. The flyers will be visible in prominent areas, while the coasters will be provided to customers. Customers can take advantage of the free ride with no questions asked through the Lyft app. To start the process, all a customer needs to do is scan the QR Code and they’ll be well on their way to getting a safe ride home, courtesy of the Mesquite Police Association Charities.
