Beginning in 2023, the Mesquite Police Association and Mesquite Police Association Charities took it upon themselves to begin securing and distributing Narcan to Officers of the Mesquite Police Department due to the City of Mesquite’s refusal to do so.  Since then, Officers have saved dozens of lives by administering Narcan to individuals, often times minutes before Paramedics arrive on scene.
